Healthy heart for a wonderful boy

The diagnosis of Tetrada Fallo became known at the 23rd week of pregnancy: during a routine ultrasound, doctors told the expectant mother that the baby had heart problems.

Healthy heart for a wonderful boy

However, the results of the examination at the 32nd week were very encouraging, because the probability of having a defect in the child was only 25%, so she could calmly wait for the birth.

Little Daniel was born in Kyiv at the National Children's Hospital "Okhmatdyt". There, the results of the last ultrasound examination confirmed - the boy had a congenital heart defect, but there was no Tetrad Fallot. Our hero spent his first years under the supervision of doctors and periodically underwent the necessary examinations.
But three years later his mother brought her son to the Amosov National Institute of Cardiovascular Surgery. The boy began to turn blue, and this caused great concern to the parents. The doctors of the Institute made a diagnosis, confirming the presence of Tetrad Fallot in the child, and stressed the need for surgery.
Two weeks after the examination, the boy was operated on. Dania had a good three-hour surgery, during which surgeons completely closed the defect on the tiny heart, and spent another three days in intensive care.
After all the worries that the family experienced, the news that the son will not need repeated operations was the best gift. Now the boy needs to recover, gain strength, undergo routine medical examinations, and most importantly - to explore this incredible world, because there are still so many interesting things ahead!
The Big Little Heart project helped another child to recover!
We are grateful to everyone who joined the #Charity_chain, a joint project of the Your Support Foundation and the Guzema Jewerly brand, because it allowed us to provide Dania with all the necessary medicines and medical devices during surgery and stay in intensive care.
And the project of our Foundation with Synevo helped to provide the drug "Custodiol", the use of which is extremely necessary during an open heart surgery.
