"Solomiia and the Great Little Miracle"

Solomiia and the Great Little Miracle

Even during pregnancy, Solomiia’s mother learned about her baby’s heart defect. After birth, the little girl seemed to feel well, but as soon as she started walking, frequent nosebleeds began — regardless of her activity level. Medical examinations confirmed a serious diagnosis: the girl needed surgery.

Specialists at the Amosov Institute performed a surgical procedure — closing the ventricular septal defect — which lasted more than three hours. After the long-awaited words, “The surgery was successful,” the girl’s mother finally felt at peace.

Solomiia recovered quickly and became noticeably more active almost immediately — she smiles more, moves around, dances, and draws. Her preschool teachers say she seems like a completely different child — lively, cheerful, and energetic. She also dreams of becoming a dancer and puts on improvised concerts at home every evening!

Solomiia’s parents are incredibly grateful to @lancomeofficial for providing all the necessary medications during and after the surgery at the Amosov Institute.

Her treatment took place as part of the "Big Little Heart" project by the "Tvoya Opora" Charity Foundation for St. Nicholas Day 2024.
