With faith in a healthy future

Unfortunately, sometimes the happiness of your child's birth is overshadowed by the news that something is wrong with its health.

With faith in a healthy future

Already in the hospital, the newborn Mark was diagnosed with a congenital heart defect and diagnosed with ASD defect with hypertension in the pulmonary artery.

For nine years, the boy was under the supervision of doctors at the Amosov Institute of Cardiovascular Surgery: he underwent routine examinations and tests.

At the beginning of this year he and his mother came to Kyiv again. After the doctors' examination, it was decided that it was time for the surgery.
On February 18, the surgeons of the Institute performed a valve replacement. The operation lasted for six hours! Mark went through it well, but still spent the first three days in intensive care under the supervision of doctors, and then the child was transferred to the ward to his mother.
The first days of the war the mother and boy spent in the basement of the hospital, because they simply did not have time to discharge them. It is hard to imagine what they went through in the harsh days of February.
Later they managed to leave Kyiv and return to their native Poltava. Today Mark is recovering from surgery at home, and in his house, as they say, even the walls help.
Currently, the boy's health is being periodically checked by doctors, because it is not yet clear whether he will need surgery in the future. But despite everything, we believe that Mark will fully recover and will soon enjoy life in peaceful Ukraine.
The Big Little Heart Foundation’s project continues to help children with congenital heart disease despite the war in Ukraine.
#Сharity_chain, a joint project of the Charitable Foundation "Your Support" and the Guzema Jewelry brand, enabled us to provide Mark with all the necessary medicines, and with the help of Diana Gloster we were able to provide the child with the drug "Custodiol", which is extremely necessary for such heart surgeries.
