Marharyta is a long-awaited child.

Since birth, the parents have enveloped their daughter with love and care, and after the appearance of the second child, parental love increased significantly. Years passed, and now Marharyta is already preparing to enter the first grade: excitement, buying all the necessary things and a mandatory medical examination.

Its results frightened the girl's parents. During the examination, the cardiologist heard noises in her heart and sent the child to the Amosov National Institute of Cardiovascular Surgery.
Specialists of the Institute thoroughly examined Marharyta and found that she had a partial anomaly of the pulmonary veins. Doctors assured the parents that the girl would need only one surgery to eliminate the defect.
The child was immediately hospitalized and a few days later underwent open heart surgery. In four hours, doctors removed the thymus, diverted the right pulmonary veins to the left atrium with a patch for the normal functioning of the heart and improving blood circulation. Marharyta had a good surgery and was quickly discharged home, where she is now recovering and gaining strength.
The "Your Support" Foundation continues to help children with congenital heart disease within the Big Little Heart project. Another Ukrainian girl has made a confident step towards recovery. Marharyta does not need a second surgery, but the supervision of a cardiologist and timely examinations are mandatory. But we are sure that our heroine will faithfully follow all the instructions of doctors, because this is the key to her healthy future.
