Family Center for Mental Health “Your Support”

Burned yards, houses, lives of people. The Bucha district witnessed more than 9,000 war crimes and the killing of more than 1,700 civilians. 

A resident of Bucha who lost his entire family under shelling. A six-year-old boy whose mother died of starvation during the occupation and was buried in the yard of a high-rise building. A family that lived in the basement for more than a month. This terrible reality became the fate of thousands of Ukrainians...

After its de-occupation, the Butch district saw the return of both local and internally displaced persons from the areas where the hostilities are still raging. Of these, more than 100,000 children have been officially registered. Those are the children who were staying under the occupation for long periods of time and survived it or those who returned after evacuation. Children are the most affected category who have experienced the horrors of war and are still under its negative influence. PTSD, anxiety, depression, alienation, and difficulty in establishing social ties have emerged as some of the problems that should not be related to children.

In order to avoid these consequences now and in the future, our Foundation has launched the Family Center for Mental Health "Your Support":

• To help children and their families overcome the psychological consequences of war 

• To strengthen psychological resilience and ensure harmonious development

• To help children live a quality life

The Center for Mental Health will become a support for those who need systematic care and professional counseling. We already have a 470-square-meter building, which will host a unique sensory space divided into 7 zones and a Training Center to help women in the Bucha district (consultations with psychologists, lawyers, employment specialists; lectures and training on sexual education, financial literacy, etc.).
