The path to a healthy life.

Ulyana is a very cheerful girl: she enthusiastically takes on any new task, studies well, and actively participates in school events. But behind this sincere smile lies a long struggle for the opportunity to live like her peers.

At 28 weeks of pregnancy, doctors informed her mother that the child would have heart problems. Fortunately, the girl was born on time and even breathed on her own, but on the very first day of her life, she was diagnosed with Ebstein's anomaly.

For over ten years, the disease hardly manifested itself. Ulyana had heart murmurs and experienced slight tachycardia, during which she had panic attacks. Yet, she had the opportunity to study, attend clubs, and live a more or less full life, periodically undergoing all the necessary examinations.

In December 2021, during a routine check-up at the M.M. Amosov Institute of Cardiovascular Surgery, a decision was made to perform surgery.

Ulyana spent ten pre-New Year's days at the Amosov Institute, where she underwent two surgeries. During the first operation, doctors performed cell cauterization through the arteries to connect the valve. A day later, another operation was performed, during which the valve was connected.

According to doctors' forecasts, the girl will need more surgeries in the future, as the valve will need to be replaced. But a start has already been made, which means the first steps towards a healthy life for the child have been taken.

Ulyana, we believe that you will succeed, and we wish you strength and inspiration on your path to recovery. During her stay in the hospital, Ulyana was provided with all the necessary medications and consumables. This opportunity is provided by #Charity_chain, a joint project of "Tvoya opora" and the Guzema Jewerly brand.

And thanks to the foundation's project with Synevo, the girl was provided with the drug "Custodiol," the use of which is mandatory for such operations.
