Carolina’s parents learned about her congenital heart defect quite by chance—during routine medical examinations when the girl fell ill. It came as a real shock, as the pregnancy had been completely uneventful and the delivery went well. No one could have imagined that their daughter had a serious diagnosis.

When doctors informed them that Carolina had congenital mitral valve dysplasia, the parents were stunned but did not lose hope. They immediately began searching for a clinic where the surgery could be performed.

This is how the family turned to the Amosov Institute, where the girl underwent a comprehensive examination and a date for the surgical intervention was set.

The mitral valve repair surgery lasted five hours—long, tense, and emotionally exhausting for the entire family. However, everything went successfully.

Carolina is an extraordinary girl. She sings beautifully and has a kind, sincere, and caring heart. She also has four younger brothers who love her dearly.

Carolina’s dream is to create her own music video.
