For the parents, seeing two lines was an unexpected but such a joyful surprise! The family already had two sons, and they had been dreaming of a daughter. When the ultrasound revealed: “It’s a girl” — their happiness knew no bounds.
The pregnancy went smoothly, and Nika was born at 37 weeks — healthy and active. When their daughter turned one, the parents decided to have her heart examined, since one of her brothers had been born with a congenital heart defect.
The results came as a real shock: doctors diagnosed her with a secondary ventricular septal defect. For three months, the little girl underwent medical treatment, but unfortunately without success.
A decision was made to proceed with surgery. The four hours of waiting became the hardest for her parents… and what joy they felt when they finally heard: “The surgery was successful.”
Today, Nika is doing well — she is growing, developing, and has already become a true little queen for her brothers.
The family sincerely thanks @lancom for their support during such a difficult time. Thanks to their help, it was possible to provide the necessary medicines and materials for treatment. This became possible within the framework of the project “The Big Little Heart” for St. Nicholas Day in 2024.
