Vladyslav was born into a large family—the youngest, the most delicate, the most precious treasure for his mother and loved ones. The pregnancy progressed calmly, without any complications, and it seemed that only a happy childhood lay ahead.
However, soon after birth, his family began to notice alarming signs: Vladyslav struggled to breathe and tired very quickly, as if every movement required far too much effort. Concerned parents turned to doctors, and their path led them to the Amosov Institute, where the diagnosis was confirmed—a secundum atrial septal defect.
The surgery lasted three hours. For a two-year-old child, this is an eternity. During those hours, doctors fought for the little boy’s future—for the ability to breathe freely, run, laugh, and grow without limitations.
Vladyslav is only two years old, so his dreams will change as he grows. But his mother already dreams about him today—strong, brave, and saving others. She envisions her son as a firefighter, a person with a big heart, which now has a chance to beat healthily and confidently.
The surgery and treatment became possible thanks to the generous support of the Lancôme brand, which stood by the family at their most difficult moment. It was this support that ensured the provision of all necessary materials and medications.
The assistance was provided within the framework of the “Big Little Heart” project for St. Nicholas Day 2024—a project that gives children not just treatment, but an invaluable chance at a life filled with light, warmth, and a future.
