Mrs. Maryna’s dream of a big family came true. Yet another wish lived in her heart — to give a child from an orphanage love and a new home.

That’s how Danylko entered their lives — a smiling boy who longed for warmth and support.

Already within the first weeks in his new family, he was discovering simple moments of happiness, rejoicing in change, and making great efforts to catch up with his peers. At eight years old, Danylko didn’t even know how old he was and had never learned to count.

But during a medical check-up before starting school, doctors discovered a severe heart defect. They said surgery was needed within the next 3–4 months.

After consulting with specialists, the family decided to schedule the surgery after New Year — to give Danylko the joy of the holidays and his very first real Christmas tree.

The operation lasted four hours. For his parents, these were the hardest moments, but their hearts told them everything would be all right. And so it was — today, Danylko is feeling better, actively recovering, and moving forward on the path toward his dream.

And his dream is a big one — to become a famous dancer! He loves music, feels the rhythm with every fiber of his being, and when it plays — nothing can stop him.

Danylko’s family sincerely thanks Lancôme for their support during this challenging time. Thanks to their help, it was possible to provide the medicines and supplies needed for his treatment.
