Anastasiia’s parents learned about their daughter’s heart defect when she turned 15 during a routine medical check-up. Until then, she had no health concerns — she grew up healthy, active, and full of life.

Upon hearing the diagnosis, her parents did not give up — they immediately took action. After additional examinations, the family was referred to the Amosov Institute, where it was confirmed that Anastasiia had a primary ventricular septal defect — a congenital heart condition.

Surgery was scheduled and lasted over four hours. Everything went successfully. After the operation, her parents were overjoyed with their daughter — strong, patient, and brave.

Anastasiia is a kind, sensitive, and very intelligent girl. After finishing school, she dreams of attending medical university. She hasn’t yet decided which kind of doctor she wants to become, but she is certain she wants to save lives.
