Nazar is 14. Recently, he was just living a typical teenage life: school, studies, friends.
Then suddenly – a call from school. The nurse informed his mother that Nazar had experienced a sudden episode of tachycardia – his heart raced intensely for 15 minutes. The ambulance didn't arrive in time to record it. Doctors couldn't explain what had happened for a long time.
Twenty days later, the attack recurred. And again – without official confirmation.
And then – the third, most severe episode, already at home. This time, the ambulance arrived in time. His pulse was 235 beats per minute. The boy was urgently hospitalized.
For 7 hours, doctors fought to stabilize his heart rhythm. And they succeeded.
After examinations, Nazar was diagnosed with supraventricular tachycardia.
His heart requires surgery – radiofrequency ablation.
This is a minimally invasive procedure that allows for the targeted "deactivation" of the areas of heart tissue that cause dangerous attacks.
After this procedure, Nazar will be able to live a full life, without fear of every next heartbeat.
And do you know what he told his mother after the surgery?
"I want to become a psychologist to support people in difficult moments."
The parents are sincerely grateful to the LANCOME company for providing their son with all the necessary medications during the surgery and treatment.
Nazar's rescue became possible thanks to the "Big Little Heart" project of the "Tvoia Opora" Charitable Foundation for St. Nicholas Day in 2023.
Thank you to everyone who saves children's hearts.
