For the tenth year in a row, the charitable foundation “Tvoya opora” is carrying out a New Year initiative that makes children’s dreams come true. These are children who grow up in families of various forms of foster care — adopted children, children under guardianship, children in foster families, and family-type children’s homes. They are also children who have lost Hero parents who defended Ukraine, children of military personnel, children from large families, and children experiencing difficult life circumstances.

This year, the initiative is supported by the general partner — PIRAEUS BANK. Thanks to our joint efforts, we will not only give gifts to children but also share care, attention, and the festive spirit during these pre-holiday days.

“In these challenging times for our country, children especially need warmth, attention, and the feeling that someone cares about them. We cannot give every child a family, but we can give them joy and belief in miracles. The initiative ‘2,000 Gifts for the New Year’ was created precisely so that every boy and girl can feel the holiday. That’s why our team collected letters with New Year wishes from each child in advance — to make their dreams come true. And we very much need your support to make this possible,” says Valeria Tatarchuk, founder and CEO of the “Tvoya opora” Foundation.

How to join the initiative?

The campaign runs from December 9 to 20, 2025. To bring New Year magic to a child, simply visit the website of the “Tvoya opora” charitable foundation and choose a child (or several) whose dream you want to fulfill. Then follow the simple step-by-step instructions that will be sent to your email.

Who are the children we bring magic to?

• children growing up in different forms of family care (family-type children’s homes, guardianship, foster families);

• internally displaced children, children from large families, and those in difficult life circumstances;

• children who lost their Hero parents (fallen defenders of Ukraine);

• children from military families;

• children affected by the war (including those with mine-blast injuries, children of civilian or military POWs).

This year, two thousand children sent their letters with wishes to St. Nicholas and Santa. A construction set, a hat and gloves, a watch, a football, scrunchies and hair clips, deodorant and cosmetics… Their wishes are very simple things that may seem ordinary to us, but for them — they are dreams come true.
