Become a Mentor for a Child – Change Their Life for the Better!
We are launching a pilot mentorship project in the Kyiv region together with the Kyiv Regional Center for Social Services and with the support of the project's ambassador, Inna Miroshnichenko.
This initiative aims to give children from orphanages a chance for a happy and successful future.
If you feel that you can support a child, share your experience, and inspire them, we invite you to join our mentorship program.
Who is a Mentor?
A mentor is an adult friend for a child from an orphanage who helps them find their path in life, discover their talents, and believe in themselves.
A mentor is not a substitute for parents or a benefactor but rather a person willing to dedicate time, attention, and experience.
Being a Mentor Means:
- Being There. Children in orphanages often feel lonely. A mentor is someone they can turn to for advice or just a conversation.
- Providing Support. Helping them overcome difficulties, achieve their goals, and dream bigger.
- Teaching. Sharing knowledge about life, work, and essential daily skills—a priceless experience that is difficult to acquire in an orphanage.
- Inspiring. A mentor helps a child see new opportunities and believe in themselves.
Why is This Important?
Children from orphanages often face significant challenges after aging out. They struggle to adapt, find jobs, and build relationships.
A mentor serves as a guiding light, helping them avoid social isolation, find purpose, and build a successful future.
Who Can Become a Mentor?
Anyone who is a responsible adult and is willing to dedicate time and effort to support a child.
It doesn’t matter what your profession is or how much free time you have—the most important thing is your genuine desire to help.
What Does a Mentor Do?
- Communicates with the child and shares personal experiences.
- Helps develop practical life skills.
- Supports the child during difficult life situations.
- Works together with the child to build their future.
Being a mentor is not just about helping a child—it’s also a chance to change your own life.
You will discover new perspectives, experience the power of kindness, and become part of positive change in the world.
