UPD: Friends, we have great news! Thanks to you, our ward, Kozhuhar Olya, started rehabilitation on October 11
Olya was born prematurely. She immediately began to fight for her life: resuscitation and connection to an artificial respiration apparatus. In the end, the girl's condition was attributed to premature birth and she was sent home.
However, my mother saw that something was wrong. Endless examinations, examinations, tests, and studies, but the doctors attributed everything to the fact that the child was born prematurely. A year and a half later, it turned out that Olya's condition was the result of a brain hemorrhage. The child was injured during childbirth.
Endless courses of massages, pills to stimulate the brain, rehabilitation, and classes with horses began, which little by little gave results. If earlier Ola's entire right side was paralyzed, and she could not even move her fingers, later the girl learned to hold toys with her. She learned to sit and stand while leaning on something. And the doctors admitted that she had a chance to start walking.
"I am often told that I am her support. It is not true. In fact, Olya is my support. I am next to her, so strong, stubborn, and brave that I do not have the right to show weakness. She makes me move on, look for opportunities, and fight," mother admits.
Olya continued confidently moving towards her goal. Until the Russian army launched a full-scale invasion of Ukraine... Olya and her mother lived in Berdyansk and fell under the occupation. At her peril and risk, the woman fled the city. Fortunately, the family is safe now. However, Olya did not undergo rehabilitation for almost a year, which critically damaged the treatment progress. The girl can't hold her back correctly again. Her leg muscles are straining.
As soon as possible, Olya should undergo rehabilitation to feel again what it is like to live without daily pain. Support our courageous ward! Your charitable contribution will bring the girl closer to a healthy life.
Friends, thanks to you. Our ward is on a rehabilitation course again! Thank you all for your contributions and sharing.
Because of the invasion, Olya was without comprehensive medical care for a whole year. This greatly affected her condition: her legs became weaker, and she no longer stood as confidently as in 2021. The family is not going to give up and will catch up with treatment and acquire new skills and abilities. In October 2023, Olya began rehabilitation, which consists of physical therapy, massages, mechanotherapy, and vibration massages. Each class has 10 sessions.
