Milana will be 3 years old next year. However, due to a severe form of cerebral palsy, she does not speak, moves on half-bent legs, walks only in orthopedic shoes, does not run, and does not even recognize her relatives.
Milana needs constant rehabilitation courses to feel and try the simplest things. Unfortunately, the family's financial resources are exhausted, and the parents are unable to continue the girl's treatment and rehabilitation. They turned to the "Your Support" Foundation for help. We believe that together with you, we will do everything possible so that parents hear the words "mom" and "dad" from their little one.
This is the story of the fight for the health of another small but brave ward of the Foundation.
The mother-to-be had no complications. She gave birth to a healthy girl - Milana. However, later, the child's condition worsened: she became capricious, constantly cried, and refused food. The young mother immediately sought help from doctors. Thus began the search for a diagnosis. Several months and no results. Then new symptoms appeared: muscle tension in the legs (tonus), restless sleep, lack of contact with parents, and lack of speech in general. The family applied to both public and private medical institutions.
In almost two years, after a considerable number of analyses, tests, and examinations, Milan was diagnosed with a severe form of cerebral palsy at the Ohmatdit Hospital. Kyiv doctors conducted the first course of rehabilitation. Not only rehabilitation specialists were involved, but also traumatologists and speech therapists.
Systematic work with specialists, constant rehabilitation, and comprehensive treatment will improve the girl's condition. The family is ready for all these challenges but needs financial help. Mom does not work and is constantly busy with the child. Father was on the defense of Ukraine 5 months before the invasion and in the first months of the full-scale war. However, he had to resign and return home due to the severe condition of his daughter. We will give the family hope for the further development of Milan.
