The Tvoya Opora Foundation and the Heart Institute Signed a Memorandum of Cooperation

Joining Forces to Save Children’s Hearts!

The Tvoya Opora Foundation and the Heart Institute of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine have signed a Memorandum of Strategic Cooperation aimed at supporting pediatric cardiac surgery and developing organ transplantation for young patients.

Each year, the Heart Institute team performs over 700 surgeries on children with congenital heart defects. The specialists’ unique expertise allows them to save even the most complex cases. To date, 10 children have received new hearts, including the youngest patient, Solomiika, who was only 6 years old at the time of her transplant. Today, she is a healthy schoolgirl living a full life.

However, the challenges are growing. In the context of war, state resources are primarily focused on supporting the military, making the assistance of charitable organizations crucial for saving children’s hearts.

As a member of the World Heart Federation, the Tvoya Opora Foundation will support high-specialized surgeries.

Currently, more than 20 children are on the waiting list for heart and lung transplants. Our shared mission is to give them a chance at life.

Together, we can do more!
